RCB may trade these 3 players before the IPL 2026 auction

RCB may trade these 3 players before the IPL 2026 auction: Royal Challengers Bangalore finally won the IPL 2025 trophy after an 18-year wait. Under captain Rajat Patidar’s leadership, the team performed brilliantly, winning nine matches in the league stage and making history by defeating Punjab Kings in the final.

Players like Virat Kohli and Josh Hazlewood played crucial roles this season. Kohli scored 657 runs in 15 matches, while Hazlewood took 22 wickets in just 12 matches.

However, despite this success, the Bangalore management is now looking to strengthen the team ahead of the 2026 auction. A decision may be made to trade some players to give the team a more balanced look for the next season.

3. Rasikh Salam Dar

Rasikh Salam bags ₹6 crore in IPL auction; family delighted and hopeful for India selection – Rising Kashmir

Jammu and Kashmir fast bowler Rasik Salam was acquired by Bangalore for ₹6 crore (₹6 crore). He has previously been a part of three different teams. However, he too played only two matches this season and failed to make a significant impact.

Interestingly, his former franchise, Delhi Capitals, attempted to use the right-to-match card in the mega auction. In such a situation, a trade between Bengaluru and Delhi could be possible, with Rasik returning to Delhi and Bengaluru receiving an experienced fast bowler in exchange.

2. Lungi Ngidi

Lungi Ngidi shines on RCB debut with three-fer versus CSK

South African fast bowler Lungi Ngidi was acquired by Bengaluru for his base price of ₹1 crore. Ngidi bowled a memorable spell against Chennai (3/30), but he was subsequently dropped from the team due to the international series.

He played only two matches and was then replaced by Zimbabwe’s Blessing Muzarabani. The management may now release Ngidi and invest in a young fast bowler who will be available for the entire season.

1. Jacob Bethell

Bad news for Royal Challengers Bengaluru as Jacob Bethell set to miss IPL 2025 playoffs, New Zealand cricketer to replace him...

England all-rounder Jacob Bethell was acquired by Bengaluru for ₹2.6 crore in the 2025 auction. He is considered a brilliant batsman and a useful spinner, but he only got to play two matches in the entire season.

He did score a half-century against Chennai Super Kings, but his bowling wasn’t utilized. He returned home before the playoffs due to his selection in the England squad. Now, Bengaluru could trade him for an experienced spin all-rounder who can provide consistent performance for the team.
